The Vaccine institute has a focus on diseases of poverty that afflict populations in underdeveloped and resource poor areas.

It has raised over £6 million in grants to conduct a series of human clinical trials of vaccines targeted to diseases of the most underprivileged members of the world community, together with translational clinical studies of human mucosal immunity.
