Meningitis pilot study

The Oxford Children’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and St. George’s Hospital are carrying out a research study to identify the causes of meningitis in children. This study will identify which germs currently cause childhood meningitis, and help to inform us how to distinguish between bacterial and viral meningitis and other childhood infections as early as possible.

Participants of this trial are children under 16 years of age that have been admitted to one of the hospitals participating in this study.
